ALLEN PARK, Mich. – This week’s class is: The Mentally Healthy and BDSM: Mutually Exclusive, or Not? with RinaBee and Mystic Jaguar
How do mental health issues impact the lifestyle? Have you wondered how BDSM fits in with the expression of your own mental well being? Do you want to know what positive personal growth and self-esteem is, regardless of where one falls on the D/s spectrum? How does one know if we are loving to ourselves, and just what does that even mean, especially in our own kinky world? How might we best proceed in being personal growth and positive mental health oriented in the lifestyle?
For this class, two laymen kinksters put into everyday terms what self-esteem is, how it is achieved, and how it can be expressed by people in the lifestyle. Included are helpful ideas for dealing with drama and handling tricky situations among people around scenes and negotiations. Heavy emphasis is on learning to be true to oneself, trusting the self and paying attention to intuition and not-so-common sense—information helpful for both new and seasoned kinksters alike.
Using readily found information on the web as well as their combined backgrounds and personal battles of life in general in and outside of the lifestyle, RinaBee and Mystic Jaguar share insights on what constitutes healthy self-esteem as a foundation for good mental health. With emphasis on kinky mind-sets, they have put together a wealth of information useful for achieving and maintaining positive self-growth in or out of the lifestyle.
This class will be the first part of an interactive ongoing discussion of what constitutes healthy relations with the self and others as pertains to various elements and aspects of BDSM.
