DETROIT — The BOE is a proud Coalition Member of the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom.
Board of Education (also referred to as “the BOE”) is a not-for-profit metro Detroit organization which is a support, educational, and social group for adults who share similar interests in BDSM and kink education. The BOE is a diverse group, open to those of any orientation. It is our goal to provide a comfortable, safe, and discreet environment to share, learn, and belong. The mission of the NCSF is to create a political, legal and social environment in the US that advances equal rights for consenting adults who engage in alternative sexual and relationship expressions. The NCSF aims to advance the rights of, and advocate for consenting adults in the BDSM-Leather-Fetish, Swing, and Polyamory Communities. They pursue this vision through direct services, education, advocacy, and outreach, in conjunction with partners, to directly benefit these communities.
One of the responsibilities as a coalition member is to hold a fundraiser to benefit the NCSF each year. The BOE Board of Directors decided to raffle off two tickets to this year’s SINergy event to be held July 28-31 in Lansing, Michigan, a value of $178.00. In addition, the BOE donated the proceeds of the April 1, 2016 BOE party to the NCSF.
As a result, the BOE Board presented the NCSF with a donation on behalf of the organization of $1,076.00.
