BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Friday night is the first night of Lotus Fest. This is an annual world music festival of cosmic proportions and on the absolute must do list for Bloomington.
We’re going to do a little bit different kind of munch this month. We will be meeting at 3rd Street Park for a picnic. Bring blankets or chairs if you like, expect to have to put money in the meter on the street if you drive.
Food can be obtained from Food Truck Friday (https://www.facebook.com/FoodTruckFriday/) which happens in the Chocolate Moose parking lot. Then walk a block over to meet at the park to gnosh. We will be gathering under the conjoined Pokestops between Allison Jukebox and the Stage. Poke lures will be provided, as will a few extra blankets to lie on for those who are on foot or don’t have stuff like that.
The topic this month is going to be The Science of Love. The 36 questions that can deepen intimacy. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVff7TjzF3A) Developed by Dr. Arthur Aron and his wife to see if there was a science to falling in love, and to see if it could be induced. While not a specifically kinky topic, I think it’s park appropriate and would be very interesting to look over to see if it would be the kind of thing that could deepen intimacy in BDSM style relationships or if the style of relating really matters when it comes to feeling close and trusting with a partner.
Afterward, we will wander about the downtown catching Pokemon, listening to world music, and generally enjoying a lovely summer night where Bloomington is at it’s very best.
