CHICAGO – At the LRA Members Meeting held on Saturday, November 10, 2012, new membership levels were voted on and approved by the membership. The details are as follows:
LRA has (2) levels of membership:
Full Membership and Associate Membership.
As of November 11, 2012, Out of Area and Student memberships are eliminated. All Members in good standing as of that date are automatically considered Full Members with the benefits and rights described below. This rate will continue until their expiration date, at which time, Full Members are eligible to adjust their membership level if desired.
Full Members are able to:
1) Have unlimited visits to LRA during open club hours;
2) Attend all Members Only events;
3) Sponsor up to three (3) non-members each month at no additional charge;
4) Have unlimited private usage, which is subject to availability. Note: Member must be present at all times during private usage;
5) Attend Bi-Annual Membership Meetings and vote on any issue proposed;
6) Vote in the LRA Board of Directors Elections;
7) Nominate a Full Member for a position on the Board of Directors;
8) Run for a position on the LRA Board of Directors in accordance with the By-laws;
9) Participate in the LRA Reciprocal Program;
10) Attend joint events co-sponsored by LRA along with other organizations both locally and nationally;
11) Receive discounted rates on LRA Club rentals;
12) Receive and invitation to the LRA Members Only Yahoo Group;
13) A membership card with the “Full Membership” designation;
14) Earn credit for sponsoring new Full Members. A member’s current membership will be extended for one (1) month for each annual paid membership by a new Full Member. Note: the new member’s application MUST show the sponsoring member’s membership number.
Associate Members are able to:
1) Have unlimited visits to the LRA during open club hours;
2) Attend all Members Only events;
3) Attend Bi-Annual Membership Meetings as a non-voting member;
4) Nominate a Full Member for a position on the Board of Directors;
5) Attend joint events sponsored by LRA both locally and nationally;
6) Upgrade to Full Membership at any time;
7) A membership card with the “Associate Membership” designation;
Note: Associate Members DO NOT have Voting, guest, private usage or reciprocal agreement program privileges.
The rates for the memberships are as follows:
Yearly installment:
Full Member — $350 per year
Associate Member — $240 per year
Monthly Installment:
Full Member — $35 per month
Associate Member — $20 per month
