INDIANAPOLIS — Sometimes it is necessary to take a step backward to make the big leap forward. For the producers of International Pup and Handler Weekend, the step backward was learning that our original plans to hold the 2019 event in Kansas City would not enable us to address the feedback from the community on how to make IPAHW the better and bolder event you have all asked for.
Then came the leap, and we are happy to say that we have landed on all four paws – and two feet – in Indianapolis! As such, the producers of IPAHW are pleased to announce that our third International Pup and Handler Weekend, IPAHW 2019 will be held July 25-28, 2019, at the Waterfront Hotel and Conference Center in Indianapolis, IN.
This change is bringing with it new opportunities for the producers and staff of IPAHW to bring the pup and handler community an even better event than before. We are happy to announce that we will have the entire hotel for our weekend event and that, with the increased availability of space, we are already looking to schedule more fun events, more classes, and to provide more room for people to just socialize and enjoy. Our contract with the Waterfront Hotel and Convention Center will also allow for room rates that are substantially lower than our previous years.
As we move to Indianapolis, the International Pup and Trainer Contest (IPTC) will be partnering with IPAHW for the third year in a row, holding the 2019 contest alongside the other weekend events and activities.
We look forward to putting together a pawsome weekend, and we will announce other exciting developments as we move closer to the main event in July 2019.
