LOUISVILLE – In the 1970’s, disco was king, Divine was queen, and the baby blue leisure suit was all the rage. John Travolta was getting his groove on, the Village People were longing to be a macho man and Studio 54 was THE place to be.
Everybody loves the 1970’s.
Especially in retrospect.
Dust off your platform heels, find that qiana shirt, break out your love beads and granny glasses and do the hustle down to the Fringe Elements space to join us for our ode to the 1970’s, our Saturday Night Fever party.
We’ll have a prize for the best vintage costume and the dungeon will be rocking to the sound of disco. We’ll start at 8:00pm and rock on until 2:00am. You don’t HAVE to dress for the decade, but really, why not? Fetish wear and sleazy styles are also welcome. The 70’s was all about doing your own thing, after all.
Our Fabulous Fringe Fotographer, Sir Markos will be on hand to record your bellbottoms and beads for posterity, and the always-gorgeous Cashmere can be counted on to make sure every hair is in place.
We’ll have vendors, too, selling all manner of delights and doodads that will remind you of your Saturday Night Fever experience long after the night is over.
Remember, too, that the theme for Great Lakes Leather Alliance this year is Disco, so it’s a great time to make sure you’ve got everything ready for those parties, and get a little more mileage out of them.
